In addition to his success as a Chicago businessman, Mandera is also known for his dedication to philanthropy. As a community leader and on behalf of The Custom Companies, Inc., Perry Mandera has donated his energy and financial resources to many charitable organizations and charitable causes throughout the years. Specifically, Mr. Mandera has focused on philanthropic efforts towards children’s and youth organizations, veterans as well as Cancer Cures and Prevention; these charities include but are not limited to, The Walter & Connie Payton Foundation and The Jesse White Tumblers, both of which he serves as a current member of the Board of Directors. As a result of his commitment to those organizations, Mr. Mandera provided transportation and donation of 6,500 winter coats to needy children in Chicagoland and surrounding counties.

Mandera is also a strong supporter of the United States military. Recognizing his support, he was awarded the prestigious Patriot Award by the Veteran’s Service Organization, AMVETS. The Patriot Award is presented to individuals who have contributed significantly to the support and well-being of America’s veterans. Mandera is a true philanthropist, and through his work with charitable organizations and the United States military, he has significantly impacted many people’s lives.

The Custom Companies, Inc. is proud to have provided relief for the victims of the 2013 tornado in Washington, IL, by donating transportation and supplies to families and victims. More than 40 truckloads of purchased and donated food and various supplies were transported to Louisiana and Mississippi for the relief of Hurricane Katrina victims. The Custom Companies, Inc. continues to support natural disaster victims by donating transportation and supplies to the California Wild Fire Victims. Mr. Mandera was also instrumental in starting The Custom Companies’ charitable organization called “Custom Cares Charities,” a 501(c)(3) organization that provides tens of thousands of dollars in holiday giving each year to needy families across the country so they can enjoy a more meaningful season.

The Custom Companies, Inc. was founded on always doing what is right and giving back to the community. The Custom Cares Charities provides support for those individuals and organizations that align with their mission statement. They have sponsored over 100 youth sports teams in various Chicago and Illinois communities. They also provide financial education support to young adults and children from disadvantaged or abusive backgrounds.

Perry’s passion for giving back has led him to create his own charity, the Perry Mandera Cares Foundation. The foundation provides financial assistance to families in need and organizations that support children and animals.
